New Forest National Park
Overview
New Forest District Council is responsible for the sustainable management of the woodlands and forests in the area. They are managed for the benefit and well-being of the people who visit them and depend on them for their livelihood. This responsibility includes improving their biodiversity and long-term resilience to climate change so that future generations will also be able to enjoy the benefits they provide.
This survey looks specifically at the woods and heathland around the area of Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst as these are two of the busiest villages for people visiting the forest during peak season.
Why your views matter
We are dedicated to improving the longevity of the forest whilst opening it up as much as possible for the public to enjoy. We are inviting you to share your experiences in the area of Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst in terms of your favourite routes and any encounters with wildlife you have had. Collecting this information can give us a better idea of where to channel our conservation efforts going forward and to ensure the continued protection of our national park.
